![]() July 9th, 2002 - Yasser Arafat - George Bush - Saddam Hussein What a travesty this world is at the beginning of the 21st Century. I'm not anti American merely anti injustice. Surely decent, honest people still populate this planet? Enough to question this bombing and blasting of Afghanistans so that they can't even hold a peaceful wedding. George W. Bush is all for blasting the living daylights out of Iraq. It may well be that they do have the means for staging a biological war - but they haven't done so up to this point in time so where is the proof? Where is the evidence to justify America declaring war on Iraq. And what about the thousands of innocent civilians of Iraq who will be either killed or maimed with their lives left in tatters? Have a look at the ruins of the Palestinians towns blasted into so much rubble by the Jews. Think about the thousands of lives lost in their own war and think about what has been achieved by this ancient war of attrition. Achievement = zilch I suppose if George W. Bush doesn't succeed in getting Arafat deposed he'll have him accidentally wiped out - collateral damage? Does the Yankee President believe that if he disposes of Arafat that peace will descend on the Middle East - or does he believe that the Jews can then take over Palestine and add it to their own plot of Palestinian soil? Why not get rid of Ariel Shemon? Why not get rid of George W. Bush? If we lost John Howard or, for that matter, any of our current mob of politicians we in Australia would scarcely notice the difference. We haven't got an interesting polly in any of our political parties. And none with any passion or drive or imagination.on the way up. They are a dull bunch of politicians and will go down in Australian history as such. It could be an idea to shove Arafat, Shemon and Bush together on a remote island and let them blow each other up - but add Saddam to the party as a heavy dose of pepper. The world might be a cleaner place without that quartet. Just a thought... Helen |
